Bring your tabletop adventures to life with TerraScriber, a mapping tool designed for game masters, dungeon masters, and artists alike. Quickly create tile-based maps across multiple layers. Then, decorate maps with a large collection of items that can be rotated, duplicated, flipped and arranged to create interesting, aesthetically-pleasing areas! With TerraScriber, crafting immersive has never been more accessible—even for non-artists. Customize your map with built-in shader effects such as black-and-white, sepia tone, and more. Finally, export your creations at whatever scale you choose, preserving the crisp, pixely look of your map.

TerraScriber ships with a "Core Fantasy" pack - a theme that includes all of the tilesets and items you need to get started building fantasy maps for popular tabletop games. But we are building TerraScriber to make it easy for artists to create their own asset packs and have plans to release our own extended asset packs while also adding tiles to the included Core pack. Map tiles have a standard layout, making it easy to adapt existing pixel tilesets and items to its format. Content packs are currently a hand-editable JSON file and an image but we look forward to working with artists to make it easier to adapt, create, share, and ingest content into the tool.

TerraScriber is launching in early access to gather feedback and grow with its community. The beta version of this tool is coming soon with most of the features listed above. Your input will help shape the future of the tool, from new features to improved workflows.
